Our bodies are amazing machines. Women can now have babies in their 60s. The questions you should consider are presented in several answers about the mother: her health, any menopause activity, resources available, the parents finances., etc. And eventhough we may feel we should be able to have a kid at any age we choose, we must think of the possible consquences that might occur if we wait, i.e. birth defects. And then there is the child to consider. Will you be healthy enough to run around after a 2 year old? When that child is in high school, will you look like their grandparents? Will you be healthy enough to live to see them grow up? I had my first and only at age 35 and she is now 20. Good thing, because my spouse and I have
some health issues that would have prevented us from being

...Dr's say that after 35 there are more RISKS that are associated with the baby and yourself though. I would say no later than 35

I don't think there's necessarily an age when you're "too old", I think it's just a matter of how healthy and physically able you are to bring another child in the world.

I heard of a 69 year old woman giving birth. I think she is the oldest on record.
for women 40 years old is too old.. you are at risk and the baby is at risk..
plus you will not have the energy of a younger woman... and you will not have the patience.. plus you will be in your 50's when they are teens... which is really difficult for you and them
also I think under 28 is too young
and I think couples should NOT have kids till they own a home and only have 2 kids.. well 1 really (due to human overpopulation of the planet)
you're likely hood of complications increases after 35 (particularly for first child) however the level of care offered in most western countries is very high. if you have thorough prenatal care there's no reason not to have kids well past this. If it's working use it. enjoy
It's somewhat variable by woman. Some woman in their 50's are healthier and have healthier eggs that some women in their 30's. Smokers, drinkers, druggies, and people who have add serious illnesses (diabetes, polio) generally shouldn't wait beyond their early 30's.
As women age, their eggs age and they are more likely to bear children with problems. Bearing children with learning disabilities however can be coped with. Look at all these mothers with multiple births as the result hormones. These children frequently have serious learning and physical disabilities that people deal with.
The best time for a women to bear children is between the ages of 25 and 40 years old. After 40 a woman's body is changing so rapidly that it is very dangerous for the fetus. This age should apply to men as well as women.

I wouldn't have a baby after the age of 35 because the risk of complications are very high. I have noticed that most of the time when women give birth after 35 that the children develop problems like ADHD.
For women, probably around 40y/o.
