explain that she is not doing anything bad, or abnormal, but teach her about what things we do in privacy, i often said to my daughters, please do that in your room. thank you. this always worked. i told them about these urges being normal, but private, and as they became older, i explained more. all 3 girls are grown and have normal sexual lives/married/ except one is a little too young for marriage or commitment yet. try this, you are addressing the issue without making her feel ashamed.
I feel there is nothing wrong with her exploring her body. Talk to her and let he know she should not be ashamed of her body however; some things are done in private. It really depends on her age as to what you can say to her. As for you not doing it or waiting until you were much older...that's alright also. Some of us are more curious than others. If you choose not to practice masturbation that is fine. If you are curious then go for it.
I have 2 daughters and a son, My son is just starting to notice things changing with his body he is only 6 and has noticed his willy goes hard in the mornings bless him so have explain this is normal.
I know one of my daughter are masturbating as she asked me why she had trush!! i know this can be caused by masturbating but not washing your hands before!! years go i explained she needed to do that in her own room when she is on her own, I have explain its normal cause how i she to tell her partner what she likes if she has not found out herself first??
I think you should talk to your daughter and explain its not wrong but she needs to learn there is a time and a place!!
i personally would not worry about the age think unless she is very young i mean under 5 which in that cause i dont think its for pleasure but more cause its here and its not something she has noticed before just tellher not to cause it may make her sore but PLEASE dont tell her is dirty!!
