"rape" & "molestation"?

My daughter asked what is the difference between "rape" & "molestation" ?

Answer:
Wow what a tough question to get from your daughter! I believe that rape implies that a forced act of sexual intercourse has taken place. The word molestation comes from a Latin word that means to disturb or bother. Molestation means, therefore, any kind of sexual interference from touching (or even simple exposure) to more extreme acts.
