You don't get out of it. This is a special time of year and you should appreciate the fact that you have a family to be with during the holidays. There are so many in the world who are alone or (like so many of our armed forces) serving their country during the holidays and sacrificing their family fun time. Be grateful, be happy, and most of all be joyous during this holiday season for the blessing of a family!!
um pretend yur sick , go hide some place , tell that its yur bestfrwends b'day , tell that u want live without any worldly pleasures for a while to get closer to god , lok yurself in da bathroom and tell that u cant come out cause yur tummy aint rite , .. havent u ever red huckeberry finn , shame on u o.o
Pretend your sick and just skip the family fun time thing.
If it's not completely unbearable, suck it up and go. I don't necessarily like going to my in-laws for the holidays, but I do it anyway and put a big smile on my face. It's better than looking like a grouch and a stick-in-the-mud. If it's unbearable, then simply say that you are not feeling up to going or are not feeling well. The best way to deal with it is to just go and get it over with.
Just go. There's nothing in the world more important than family. They may get on your nerves, but you need to deal with that. They are your family and you should love them no matter how crazy they are. Just go, and stop trying to get out of it.

drink all the booze you can get your hands on, puke on the first person you see, and pee on the living room floor. wipe your as $ with the cat. put rice in the radiator of the car. snort some lines and drop acid. enjoy the trip and merry christmas!
I know what you're talkin about. I usually go and just stay an hour and tell them well the kids need a nap and all. And head home. I have 2 year old twins so I do have an excuse. Hehe! I try to think well who knows if they'll be here for another holiday and just suck it up. :)
