How long does it take for them to tell me anything that i need to know??

Hmm. It's still kinda early actually. Most of the time they say it takes 30 days for the approval process. I applied 2 weeks ago as well and still haven't heard anything at all!
When you go for your ultrasound, they should be able to list you as "Medicaid Pending". I had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago right after I applied and they was what they did for me.

be persistent.just keep calling everyday, maybe even go the the hhs office and tell them you won't leave until you figure something out...but i know that medicaid will pay for the bills 90 before you applied and the month you applied in is the month you will have been approved for the state takes a while with this paper work as many people are also applying...remember only if you qualify will they pay your bills
it usually takes 30 days. what ever bills you pay "out of pocket" they will pay for you once you get approved
Go to the office and make sure that they have it. Also.. doctors offices and hospitals have a way to look up if you are in the medicaid system. You can also call medicaid and ask them to look you up as well. Good luck.
usually medicaid is like 1-2 months behind. Just keep calling the medicaid office. If you are single and dont have a really high paying job you should be accepted. Just be patient it took them about a 11/2 months to process mine ( cuz I called them and told them I had an ultrasound appointment and he got on it)
are you certain that you qualify? If you are absolutely positive, I know that in both GA and OK, they will cover you back to the date that you applied. If you are certain, then go to the doctor.
Keep at it. These people take there sweet time. Don't worry about the doctor bills it will be retroactive to the day you applied and everything will be paid for.
30 days and the people that work in those places like to take their time . one thing they are suppossed to tell u up front what they need.
sometimes they have it done in 3 weeks but if u don't hear from them by then call then every 10 minutes or go in their office. medicaid will back pay on your bills for 3 months so don't pay anything let medicaid pay when u get it

At least 30-45 days depending on their caseload.. Know that they DO NOT get in any hurry. A person who makes less than so much a month can get EMERGENCY food stamps..EMERGENCY is 10-14 days here... I would call and tell your caseworker that you have to go to the doctor and you need to know what to do.. They can give you a letter that says that you have an app pending 4 the MD/s.. IF you pay the MD, Medicaid will NOT reimburse you. They can still pay the MD and the MD reimburse you but medicaid will NEVER give you money directly.
Actually. I am on Pregnancy Medi-cal for the second time (2nd baby). It should only take 7-10 days. Make sure you are applying for emergency pregnangy insurance and not just regular medicaid. Regular insurance could take forever.
When I first went to the doctor, I didnt have my approval letter or card either... I just had to tell them and prove that I had applied and they didnt make me pay anything out of pocket and said they would go back and take card of it when I got my card...
