Maternity grant? More details please, I don't know this term, I wonder if I just know a different name for it.

i know this is not an answer and i don't mean to sound stupid but what's a maternity grant?
one off payment of £500 claimed anytime after the 29th week.
when your 7 months they wont do anything till after then if your working or taking maternaty allownce from a work place you will get nothing but apart from that its 500 now
