Fluid leakage? Help :(?
Answer:
It could be a possibility, but there are other possibilities too. There are a couple of sacs, the inner is the amnion and outer the chorion. Sometimes a small leak can occur in the outer sac and seal back over. Then again the amnion can also do this and not seal over. Smell the dampness to see if you detect an ammonia smell which indicates urine. If you're really concerned call your Dr. and he/she may have you come in for a test on the fluid. Wear a panty liner to absorb enough fluid for them to test it.
I think you should be OK. I was worried about that to during my pregnancy and they just said wetness is normal. I would ask your doc about it, just to make sure. Usually if your water breaks it will cause it to drip down your leg and there normally will be a gush of water. You can usually tell when your water breaks. Like i said b4 ask your doc but you should be okay.
Your body's discharge will change several times during your pregnancy. I have been preggo 3 times and at about 20-22 weeks my discharge got very thin and clear, probably like yours. I would call your doctor now if you are very worried about it, but otherwise call them in the morning when they open and they can help you decide if you need to come in and get checked out. The test to see if it's amniotic fluid is very simple and quick. They just use a strip op paper to examine the fluid and it's done.
20 weeks wow that is early for this to be happening. You could also be just peeing on yourself and not know it. It happens alot during pregnancy. I would get check out at the doctor asap just to be on the safe side. If this happens only when you stand up or sit down then your water might have broke or you have a small leak. It happens. My water broke on it's own both times and when it broke I didn't feel a gush and it didn't pour out, I just felt wet and everytime I sat down or got up I would feel wet again like I was peeing on myself. But do go the the hospital soon if you are really worried about it. There is no harm in getting it checked out. Good luck and congrats!
I had a leak. It was like I peed myself a little every time I moved. (that's what I thought it was at first) I had to sit on a towel so I wouldn't get it on the furniture. When I started leaking I called the ER and the nurse on call said I could wait until morning (it was 8:00 pm) to come in, but when I called in the morning the doctor was extremely upset I was told that. He said I should have went in that night. Having Damp underwear is probably from normal secretions of the vagina or sweating. If you are worried, go to the E.R. You must be admitted if you are leaking. It is very serious.
Luckily I was full term so they induced labor.
It is completely normal. When you are due, and you have a phlegmy bloody type discharge, then you have lost your mucous plug and are beginning labor.
Your water could breaking!
