10 weeks pregnant, and going blind?

I am 10 weeks pregnant, and around the end of my work day in my right eye I can barely see.. it starts to look like a "kalidescope" really blurry, and annoying... I get off at 6pm pacific time and it is still dark outside and I don't feel safe driving home (I live 11 miles away all freeway).. what should I do? why is it doing this to me?? I can't stand it!

Answer:
this could be one of many things. especially if your pregnant! you need to get to your doctor a.s.a.p.. and no matter what, if you don't feel safe getting behind the wheel of a car, than don't. you would never forgive yourself if something happened and someone got hurt.
It sounds like you need to see your doctor, but if I were to guess I would think it could be a migrane headache, with out the ache. I get blurry vision like your discribing on occasion and it is a migrane. My other guess would be high blood pressure. Either one is cause to see your doctor, They say any vision problems during pregnancy arent good. Good Luck.
If you have any changes in your sight while pregnant you should see your doctor right away! It could be a symptom of serious problems! Go to the doctor!! Good Luck!
Personally, I'd call a doctor. That sounds serious. It might be a sign of severe gestational diabeties.
a migraine headache? it is a symptom of one, but check with your doc.
yes, i would definately guess it gestational diabetes. go get checked right away!
Sounds like you could be having preeclampsia symptoms; however, it seems like it's too early for that. Also, if you're not eating right, your blood sugar could be off.

You could be having migraines. I had ocular migraines from when I was almost 20 weeks pregnant on due to hormone changes--they were EXACTLY like what you're experiencing. Make sure to tell your doctor what's going on--they'll want to check your blood pressure.
I know what you are talking about. Although it does not happen to me everyday. I have had what you are experiencing and they are called Ocular Migraines. The doctor says that it is caused by hormones. They can come on and effect one side of your vision and you are right, it does look like you are looking through a Kaleidescope (sp). Because they say to try to stay away from medication, I would try to lie down with your eyes closed in your front seat and it should pass in 20-30 minutes. Your lucky that you have no pain with it. I know when mine starts I have about 20 minutes before the pain starts.
