2/5 th's of my babys head was felt yesterday does this mean am getting closer to labour? I'm over due now!! xx

I'm 40 weeks + 3 days was at midwifes yesterday and she says his head was down nd she only felot 2/5th's of the head left to settle down... how far doen does it need to be b4 early labour can start? 1/5th or 0/5th. she also listened to his heart beat and says well hes quite happy in there dnt think he wants to come owt :( lol how can they tell?? i just want the little man oowwt now!

Yes, this means that your cervix is thinning out (efacing) and your cervix has most likely began dilating. The baby is ready for labor and you most likely be starting soon. If not then you will probably be induced.
the midwives measure how far down they are but they dont tell u that the baby will move up and down till it finally decideds to come out the head may not even engage untill just b4 labour starts. try having acouple of spoons of cod liver oil thats suppose to kick start labour also having sex is to as the sperm has something in it that softens the cervex i know its the last thing you feel like doing but i did both of these and went in to labour the next day.
