Pregnancy Doubt?

On Jan 17 she took the pill in the night and later that night we had sex. She was taking the pills since a week by then. She stopped taking it by the next day we had sex. Then about 2 weeks (this happened today) later she has been thinking about not having periods although she was expecting it to Jan18 (the next day she stopped taking pills). Is this a sign of pregnancy. If yes then what are the known ways to confirm it ?

Answer:
The pil you have to take a while before you can have sex without other protection. i think it is a week but i not sure. if she stopped taking it this will lead to it not working therefore yes she can fall pregnant. but also any contraception can mess up your cycle. so in that aspect she may not be pregnant. the best way to find out is a pregnancy test. try a home test if you wish but if your not satisfied try the doc. get a blood test done theyre 100% correct. as long it is after 12 days after intercourse. she will start having symptoms after a while, like morning sickness, sore breasts, tiredness, moody just to name a few. but it may be too early for these yet.
goodluck
not sure
Get a home pregnancy test and/or go to a free clinic for a pregnancy test. If she's not taking her birth control regularly, then yes she can get pregnant.
I'm a little confused by the background on your story, but what I gather she was taking the pill intermittently with some missed pills?

Anytime the pill is not taken 100% correctly - which means at the same time *every* day, you can become pregnant. In fact, "real life" stats on the pill's effectiveness, taking into consideration the way real women take it, is only 70-80%, depending on the study. That figure takes into account the fact that most women miss doses here and there or don't take it at the same time every day.

If she has a missed period, she can take a pregnancy test to see if she's pregnant. Keep in mind that you CAN have a false negative - which means that if she still doesn't have her period a few days later, try again (and then again if necessary until she either gets her period, gets a positive test, or goes to the doctor).
Birth control pills aren't effective in decreasing pregnancy until a month after she's started taking them.

She has to take them regularly and not mess up the schedule.
I'm confused. If her period is late, then that could be a sign of pregnancy. or it could be a side effect of taking birth control for only 2 weeks... the hormones can mess up her regular period schedule. the best way to confirm whether or not she's pregnant would be a pregnancy test. you can buy them at wal-mart, or a local grocery store, or just about anywhere. follow the directions in the package. good luck.
I think you are supposed to be on birth control for at least a whole cycle before it is effective. Taking them for a week and missing some pills is not good prevention against pregnancy. I would have her take and EPT and depending on what that says - go to the doctor.
trying to understand your question, but not sure of the facts, but I will try to anser...anytime you stop taking the pill as directed, you can get pregnant. That does not mean she is pregnant--especiallly if she has been taking the pills previous months, as it often takes a few months to get pregnant after stopping the pill. Your best bet is to buy a home pregnancy test and follow the directions. Some of the tests can be taken a few days before you are due to start your period, but some you need to wait until after you have missed your period. Hope this helped.
