Is it normal to be STARVING all the time at only 5 wks pregnant??
what do you think? so far today i had a meal replacement bar and hot choc (made w/milk) around 7:30... a turkey & cheese sandwich on wheat @ 9:30... an apple, 3 stalks of celery, laughing cow cheese, & p.b. @ 11:30 (well, till about 12:30 i munched).. then a sesame chicken 'healthy choice' frozen meal (smaller one) at 3:00... and my stomach is grwling now, at 5:15. i think i'll have a banana soon so i can have energy to do a light workout, then go home & make dinner. is this the right amount of food, or too much ?

I feel your hunger! I'm six weeks pregnant as of Monday and man oh man was I ever hungry a couple of days ago and today well morning sickness or should I say all day sickness has reared its ugly head. But I spoke with my doctor and she said that it is perfectly natural to be hungrier than normal but the thing is to eat healthier as opposed to give into the sweet and junk cravings you may get. She also told me that our bodies need between 300 and 700 extra calories a day to sustain the pregnancy and deliver a healthy baby.
It sounds like you're eating pretty healthy. It's normal to feel this way. Wait until the morning sickness hits and then you wont feel like eating anything. I have days where I want to eat and eat and eat, and sometimes...i do lol. But fruits and veggies are great so as long as its not all chocolate cake and chips, its normal :) good luck!
That is nothing dear you will only eat more and more. By 3 months I was eating every 2 hrs and if I didn't watch out! Scary! Don't worry about your weight until after wards the more nutrients ya get the healthy-er the baby will be. I put on 45 almost 50 lbs during pregnancy and 7 months later I still have 20 lbs to go and I work out hard ever since she was 6 weeks old. Hope it helps oh ya eat a prenatal vitamin it will help your cravings by giving you all your vitamins :D
I just let my boby tell me when to eat. I was constantly hungry. As long as you're eating healthy, then I don't think it really matters.
