Flu in pregnancy 13 weeks?
Fever, headache , cold , cough and runny nose.
Should I be concerned ?
Did somebody else had flu in second trimester? Any impacts etc.
Answer:
The flu won't hurt the baby. Any medications you take might. Therefore, do NOT take any medications! For intestinal problems, let things pass, and don't eat for a bit. If they don't want to pass, you can help things along with a salt flush. A teaspoon of salt in a quart of warm water should clean the system. To control the queasy feeling caused by the waste products of the many germs your body is killing, take a tablespoon of charcoal in a glass of water. (Put it in a pint jar, and shake it, so you don't make a mess. If it is gritty, you can let it settle a few minutes and drink the smoother water off the top) For lung involvement get a cool mist humidifier, and add a pint of hydrogen peroxide to the gallon tank, and run that at night while you sleep. That will help clean the lungs from the outside, while your body works from the inside, and you should feel better in the morning. Peroxide is one of the things your body makes to fight bugs, so you are not adding something foreign, but helping support your own defenses. If you have head congestion, add a pinch of salt to a half cup of warm water, and sniff it up your nose. Your sinuses will all drain! blessings
anytime you feel sick especially if you think you are getting the flu call your OB, dont take anything without consulting with them first. good luck
My sister did and we took her to the doctor. She (the doctor) was a little worried and said sometimes it might hurt the baby but thankfully the baby was born healthy. You should go to the doctor and see what she has to say. Good Luck sweetheart!
