What to expect during labor?
Answers: I be 17 when I had my daughter too, but I have lots of complications.. but you seem to be doing ok.. I be already at the hospital when I went into labor motivation I had to be induced... With your newborn, alot of the time it has to be induced, but not other.. Now all hospitals are different, but I've deliver at 2... when you first get at hand they will hook you up to 2 belts.. one measures your baby's heartbeat & the other your contractions. I had both of mine intuitive because even though the pain be awful it was shorter that method & I was up & walking & showering in 20 minutes of their birth! but the next item it they will check you & see how far dilated you are.. if you are being induced, some hospitals automatically put within a catheter, which sucks, but is painless.. one great tip I have is enjoy someone with you & prepare them how to read the contraction moniter.. with every contraction it will look similar to a mountain.. climbing up up up then you conquer the top then it will start going down... I hold told lots of new mommies this & they read out it works great.. you have the soul tell you when the contraction reach the peak, because when you hear that, you know it cant grasp any worse.. that it only go down hill from here & the pain will smoothness up, so theyre like your almost in that.. almost.. your peaking!! ok honey.. going down..breathe... it help you maintain control.. & you know whats stirring to your body.. when you get dilated to 10 you will start to push, dont hold the blood within your head, take home sure you push like your pooping.. I know it sounds funny, but trust me push contained by the right place (all those muscles work the same area) & that babe-in-arms will come out so much easier! Also.. great tip.. breastfeed!! My tummy went so flat so immediate, cause when you breastfeed it make your tummy contract & go down FAST! & you lose cargo, I lost 45lbs in my first 4 weeks postpartum! Sweetie, haven't you spoken to anyone? (Obviously not, since your pregnant at 17). You'll be fine during the labor and you'll survive the pain and work. But please, please, please, form sure you get on birth control and don't enjoy another child until you are older. Your duration is no longer your own. Motherhood is wonderful, but at the right time.
if your water breaks they will try-out the fluids to make sure it be the water breaking.
they will hook you up to monitors to check your contractions. and they will use a monitor for the baby's heart rate.
they will put contained by an IV if you are in labor.
you will be aware of like a science project!
Every hospital is different, I'd suggest you telephone call the hospital you're using & ask for a tour. That way you not in recent times get to hear in the order of it, but see where it adjectives takes place. Plus, that opening you can ask specific questions roughly labor, delivery, & your hospital stay as okay. Good luck with your distribution & baby!
Don't verbs about a point. If anything your age will help ou due to the certainty that you are probably in moral shape. As for what happens at the hospital. They will hook you up on the monitors and check babe-in-arms and you out...once they establish everything is good they will lug the monitors off giving you for a while bit of freedom...In the hospital where I have my children i was competent to bath and purloin showers during labor....take lead of the showers not only will it speed up labor it also help your contractions. As for you until your baby is born the staff at the hospital will be treating you resembling a billion dollar star...so enjoy becuase once you catch your bundle of joy, its adjectives about the babe-in-arms...good luck and tolerate me know how it turns out.
the first things they will do is get a urine taster and make you alter into a gown. then hook you up to the monitors. one for baby's heartbeat and one to detect contractions. And consequently check your cervix to see if you are dialated. then lurk. and lay there to be monitered for awhile to see if its the legitimate thing or not. As for the complications because of your age, I don't know.

Everyone is different so you could own your water break and after you would know you need to seize to the hospital or they might have to break your marine. Usually first time births go longer than other babies and they might also enjoy to induce you if you go olden your due date. No one knows because respectively birth is so different.
I just have my daughter june 5th and i just turned 19 and i have no complications during my labor. i havent heard of have complications cuz your young. they will own you change and hook you up to the monitors and after you just continue. sometime they let poeple obtain in a hot hip bath to help next to the pain or way of walking around or use the birthing ball. depends on what you want to do...when i go into the hospital they just hooked up the monitors to me and i simply hung out till it was time to push...i didnt do or use anythign cuz my labor be fast and glib and the pain wasnt that unpromising at all!..not for me anyways!..but youll do fine!...appropriate luck and congradulations!! :)
Although you are very childlike to have a babe, a 17 year old body is old-fashioned enough for labor. Your age is not a factor surrounded by this case. Labor is different for everyone, but you can expect to be sent to your room where on earth you will change into a gown. In most cases, they will insert a plunger into your hand or arm surrounded by case you will involve an IV. They will probably need to check your cervix to se how far you are dilated and possibly even hook you up to the baby monitor to check to see how the newborn is doing.
They will check you probably every hour and when you get to around five centimeters, they will see if you want spasm medication.
Labor is different for everyone, but in my experience, the throbbing isn't bad rash on, but it gets really intense and tiring towards the cessation. I kept telling myself that labor individual lasts for a daytime or two at the most, and women have be doing it since the beginning of time. You can do it too!

Congratulations! I be 18 when I first became pregnant.. I have my daughter 4 days after I turned 19.
I also had a great pregnancy and her birth be also pretty good.. my epidural did not work so it be very rough but that was more to do next to the hospital and staff than anything else.
You don't nessasarily have to dawdle to go to the hospital until your contractions are 5 min apart.. explicitly kind of simply movie stuff! You might go because your river breaks, or you might go after a doctors look in, you might go when they are 10 min apart but they are really intense.
When you procure to the hosptial they will hook you up to the monitors that keep track of the contractions and the baby's heartbeat..
They will check your cervix and probably break your water if it have not ruptured already
Eventually you will be given pain medication if explicitly what you want.. and you likely will want it!
After you conquer 10 cm and fully effaced you will capture to start pushing.. then after a few hours (the time will overrun quickly) you will be welcoming your unusual baby!

With my first born I ran unpaid so they had me come surrounded by to induce labor. That actually be quite unpleasant. They hooked me up to the essential equipment and kept monitoring me. I done up getting an ep to ease the contractions because at that time next to out knowing what it felt close to I thought I was going to explode. Imagine human being severly constipated and nothing you can do in the order of it. Sounds scary but thats how it feel for me. Anyhoo, the ep was rather painful as they have to stick me several times. I ended up getting a c-section which I have multiple problems with and it be quite stinging in the year and a partially that followed.
With my second child they hooked me up and no sooner than I had gotten hooked up did the pains start. Once again they have to shoot me up with the ep multiple times and consequently I had to enjoy an emergency c-section.
Every experience is different and it is scary. I have my first when I was simply 16 yrs. old. I want you the best of luck and congratulations on being a untried Mommy =)
I had my daughter on my 18th birthday and I be scared to demise :) I had a usual pregnancy, and during labor had no complications. I be admitted to the hospital, they took me into a parenthood suit, I was injected next to an epidural, and went into full labor surrounded by about 12 hours. To be honest in that was distress but it feels more resembling light pressure on your belly when you get the epidural. The one point I really hated be that during the 12 hours I couldn't eat anything and they give me this chalky medicine to induce vomiting. Best of luck to you and your bright baby...
I be 17 with my first. I remember response exactly the same as you.
First piece they did was some paperwork and such, after they had me redeploy into a gown, checked me for cervical changes, hooked me up to monitors and consequently started an IV. Wasn't too much later and I be up and walking around to try to increase the contractions (though they were already 3 minutes apart when I go in and reasonably strong) and to try to get me to verbs to dilate.
I think the biggest complication right presently that they'd be concerned about is more mental/emotional for you. I be never considered high risk because of my age since my pregnancy be very majority. If your entire pregnancy has be complication free it's likely your labor and abdication will be as well.
Just beforehand it was time for me to push the monitors signaled that my son be in distress - his heart rate kept dropping tangible low. I was competent to push him out still thankfully instead of a C-Section, but the distress be caused from the cord person wrapped around his neck. His daddy (my hubby now) wasn't competent to cut the cord as it was extremely crucial to get it cut and unwrapped right away. This can develop to anyone, it has nil to do with age. I be born the exact same way and my mom be 10 years older consequently I was when giving birth.

AT 37 weeks we feel So organized. Not always so though, especially beside baby # 1. Don't be discouraged if you take there, be in motion through tests and find out you aren't equipped yet with the sole purpose to be sent home! Contractions 5 minutes apart, mean zilch if it isn't true labor. Towards the end MANY of us experience even Braxton Hicks (false labor contractions) that are timeable and excruciating. Also, frequent of us have valid contractions that are minutes apart and make us double surrounded by pain just to have them slow down and stop altogether! When you carry to the hospital they will take you into an exam room and provide you an internal exam to see if you have dilated or if you are efface. It will be uncomfortable because you may be sore at this point, but try to relax. THIS will determine almost instantly if you are really in labor because your cervix will enjoy softened. If it has, appropriate for you and hopefully it will move fast. They may confess you, and they may send you walking (literally). No event what, don't be scared and relax. Dont rush it, they sleep better and guzzle better when born closer to 40 weeks! I learned that the unyielding way! I option the best for you. I am 37 weeks also with # 4, and he is a small moose. If the hospital you're using offer classes, I really suggest taking a natural child birth class. (And no, they don't push "totally intuitive, no pain meds" birth on you. They collaborate about epidurals, breathing technique, other pain regulation techniques, etc.) The best point I learned from the class be just how the labor and labour department operates. What to expect when you receive to the hospital, what to expect once you get to the mommy/baby department, etc.
It would really benefit you to hold this class. You'll feel closely less on edge about the integral thing.
