got my membranes stripped this morning..im 38 weeks and almost 3 cm dilated...pretty thinned out..not sure what percentage..but doctor said im pretty thinned out..he believes im gonna run into labor this week...but you never know..after the appointment today, he said i should have some pink, for a time bloody discharge and cramping...but its like 2 surrounded by the morning now..and i havent have any bloody pink discharge, ive been cramping but its the usual..same reaction ive always have..nothing tight..just ache around the upper inner thigh part..and have slight back twinge..but i think its from standing too long or sitting..save for that i feel fine..i tried walking, intercourse...nil is helping..i feel freshly fine..what are the chances of me going into labor this week? or if the membrane sweep is gonna work?
Answers: I have my membranes stripped at 40 weeks. My baby be only 4 lbs 15 ozs so I would probably hold gone WAY over. Needless to say it did nil and I was induced a week latter. I think it does work for a worthy bit of people though. My body be just unawares in any instrument shape or form.
