Never had braxton hicks?

i never had them but my sis in law did..the way to tell between braxton hicks and labor pains...drink a glass of water...if they dont go away ur in labor...if they do its braxton hicks..plus do ur pains get stronger and closer..if they do ur in labor...if not ur not...hope this helps ;)
with my first 2 pregnancies i did not have them.
What you experienced were Braxton Hicks.
I didnt think I had them until I started puttng my hands on my stomach and feeling that it was hard. But if I didn't touch it I would never know. I am 38 weeks now and feel BLAH, cramps and all
Actually, the menstrual like cramping is considered braxton hicks contractions. I believe they are just not as pain full as you think they should be. So in essence, you've experienced them and at this pint, I think you probably won't have hard labor. Most compare the intensity of their braxton contractions, to those of the real labor contractions. Not sure if it's necessarily true though. Either way, good luck and congratulations.
Braxton-hicks have nothing to do with going into labour. Not everyone get them... I started getting them around 7 months, and the were strong and steady until labour began ( and yes, I could tell the difference).
It sounds like you may be getting them... sometimes they just call them "tightenings"
I think what you're getting is Braxton Hicks. Mine were also never painful, i just felt tightening and pressure. I think for everyone it's a different level of pain.
