Is it normal to still get cramps when your pregnant?

Answer:
apparently it is. I have the same concern. I am 8 weeks pregnant and one of the first signs for me that I was pregnant was I got cramps that lasted for days. I normally get cramps a week before my period and then the day of. These didn't leave and advil wasn't making them go away. don't worry I stopped taking advil when I realized it wasn't from period cramps. I asked my doctor and she said it was from my uterus enlarging. Also, I asked around and hardly anyone has heard of this. except one girl I spoke to had them just in the beginning. Not feeling better with just one person saying this I went online to a few baby sites. I can't remember the names but google "cramping with pregnancy" You should gets lots of info. It made me feel much better to read that it is somewhat coomon. Still get a little freaked out. especially when they take my breath away. Good luck. Hope they don't last that long for you. Hoping mine stop soon. Maybe after the 3rd month.
yes, sometimes you get cramps, just part of being pregnant. But if they are really severe, and last awhile, then you should be concerned and contact your doctor, because something could be wrong.
It's normal to be uncomfortable but any real cramping should be reported to your doctor just to be sure.
I would have to say so! You have something inside of you; of course theres going to be some discomfort!
depends on how far along you are. it could be that your muscles are just stretching. if your worried you should consult your doctor.
i only did in early pregnancy now that i am in my second trimester i dont, but i think its pretty normal. good luck
i would talk to your doctor something could be wrong
dont know doesnt sound write id get checked out neway! if theresno bleedin then dont think it would b serious id get checked out neway just 2 be on safe side! dont worry tho x
yes you will get these cramps throughout your pregnancy. when they are so painful you cant cope and start to bleed that is when you should worry,

these cramps are just because your bodys growing and going through changes
it is normal for a pregant woman to get some discomfort while pregant. your stomach is still ajusting to being stretched so it would be able to carry your baby. but if the pains are too unbearable then call your doctor to find out. also ask your doctor what you can take to help out with the cramping.
Yup. They are called Braxton Hicks contractions. I had them as early as 25 weeks with my son. And listen, I ended up having an abruptio placenta...very rare condition...but tell your health care provider about them! They are often just your body getting used to the idea of a lot of pain and pushing (labour!) but they might indicate a more serious condition. Ask your doctor or midwife on your next visit.
Try and feel where they`re coming from. Sharp resonating pain can be worrying. there is discomfort whish is a normal part of pregnancy and then of course your actual stomach and bowels as opposed to uterus which can act up as normal...
If you`re worried speak to your doctor or pregnancy care-giver for a clearer picture.
Of course any cramps accompanied by bleeding should be checked out immediately.
yes it is and sometimes females even bleed or spot while pregnant but thats normal. now if it get worse then see a doctor about it. but other then that it is completly normal :D
I am due at any time to have my baby and have come to realize that anything can be considered normal during pregnancy. Cramps early in the pregnancy can be viewed as ok because alot of women don't even know they are pregnant until around the 3 month mark... If all else fails when you go to confirm your pregnancy ask all the questions then...
It depends how far along you are. I have 3 kids and had mild cramps in the beginning. As long as they aren't severe and there is no bleeding involved you're probablly fine. Your body is doing a lot to grow a baby and your uterus needs to stretch. Check out askdrsears.com, it's an excellent website for this kind of question.
Yes because the baby is growing and your stomach is string out to make room to live.
