I recently had an ultrasound and it showed that my little boy's testes are already dropped but my clinic says i am only 28 weeks - I miscarried(lmp for that pregnancy was 5/4/06) right before this pregnancy so I never had a LMP to go by for this pregnancy - i know that it is possible to become pregnant as soon as your hormone level is zero after miscarriage but the dr just "assumed" an LMP of 7/14/06 but the ultrasound technician even said that by the weight and development that the machine does it's own guesswork of how far along you are and it said 31 wks 4 days by that - i had an appt soon after with the clinic but the dr wouldn't even talk to me about it - i kinda feel left in the dark about the subject and am worried that if they are off about my due date by that much it could cause problems when i go into labor. Is it possible for a little boy to develop that fast almost 4 weeks ahead of schedule?

It's possible, your later u/s are not good for dating. I would go by the date provided at an 8-10 week ultrasound. If you did not have one then I suggest you prepare for the baby in 9.5 weeks but expect it to be longer.

unfortunately when it comes to human nature and development there is no certainty. Babies develop at their own speed and pop out when they are good and ready. Some are early, some are late and on a rare occasion one actually follows doctors orders and arrives bang on schedule. As for how far along a baby can be, well that varies as much as their arrival timing. Some are pretty well along while others might well have stayed inside another few eeeks to finish themselves a little more. So, unless you feel there is definitely a reason to worry, I would not. Far better to relax and let mother nature take her course. Of course a little prayer to the god of your choice is never out of line...
