I want to know if the braxton hicks related to labor?

iam 38 weeks 2 days sometimes i get them once a light of day sometimes twice a day sometimes zilch iam first time mom so i want to know if the number of contractions are related to labor and if so....than it means iam far from my due date.....?plz oblige?


Answers:    Braxton Hicks aren't painful and progress away when you move postions or walk around. It's your bodys style of getting you ready for the definite things. Which are painful and suck :) My doctor say when you can't talk or meander throught them, they are real. Also try using the 5-1-1 system ( Contractions 5 minuntes or smaller amount apart , Lasting for 1 minunte, Going steady for 1 hour) Other signs are you losing your plug and or water breaking! When within doubt always name your doctor! Goodluck!
I've heard that the braxton hicks contractions are preparing you for labor. If they start man painful afterwards it's the real article.
