Where did you register?

I want to either register at Target or BabiesRus. Here is my dilemma... Target is good because it is accessible to everyone but last time I went they had hardly anything. I love babiesRus because they have a great selection, great atmosphere and cater to just babies, but the cloest one is about 15 mins away... So Im wondering, should I just register at babiesRus and hope people go all that way (or shop online) or register at target knowing everyone can get there?

What were your experiences with both places?

Answer:
I registered at Babies R Us, even though the closest one to me is about 50 miles away. We do have a Toys R Us, and you can get a lot of the stuff there too, because they have a decent baby section. I went with Babies R Us over Target because they have so much more stuff, and our families mostly live in bigger cities where they can get to one. If not, there's always the online option. So far it has worked out ok. If people can't get to a Babies R Us they have just looked at the online registry and tried to get something the same or similar at whatever store is closest to them. Then I just sign into my online registry and put in what I was given.

I don't think 15 minutes is too far to travel for Babies R Us (especially seeing as I drive over an hour to get to one). I'd register there. I don't think 15 minutes is too far for people to go to get gifts.
I really liked Babies'R'Us. They have everything you need.
BREEDER SCUM.
I registered at Target because it was close to everyone and you could go to target.com and add things that weren't in the store.
What about both?
Why not do both? There is no rule against registering at more than one place. But I would chose babiesr us, they will have everything you could possibly need. Plus they give you invitations for free for your baby shower. Fifteen minutes isn't that far to drive. But to appease everyone register at both.
U can find good selections also at target,u can go online and register also in some places...U could always register at babies r us and give them your registry number, they can look u up online and then buy the things u want from babies r us but at walmart or target etc...baby clothing is different but for bottles, wipe warmer etc usually other places have them cheaper if they wanna go somewhere else...15 mins away isnt that bad to travel to buy someone a gift..but if u or your friends think it is register at target...chances are they will not mind..
I personally like both places,i myself will prob register at target though...although i do like the clothing at babies r us hmmmmm.

good luck!
I registered at babiesRus, its not all that close to me but i figured that they have everything you need in one store, and things you haven't even thought about. the good thing is that its online too, and everyone can see what you want and need. If people don't want to go there to buy it or can get it cheaper at target or walmart that's cool too.
You can register online with target.com and they have just about everything. I registered at both because what one didn't have the other did. I did everything online.
Register at both. That way they can either go to the store or order online. I find Target has alot more online than in the stores. It will not hurt to have them at both. For my 1st one I had one at Walmart and at Toys R us. It worked out for my family members from out of town. They could chose where to buy from. I have one at Target now.. but really not telling anyone, since this is my 2nd child. But it has been 5 yrs since I had my last one. Good luck and congrats.
I would do both. I just registered at Target and at Wal Mart. I did my whole Target registry online, so I don't know what the store selection is like. Registry is designed to give people an idea of what you want. You have taken that step, so now is the time for you to relax. You have enough to keep your mind occupied without worrying if people are going to want to drive to Babies R Us!
I registered at walmart, because it is priced where everyone on my shower list can afford, and it has tons of matching themes, from winnie the pooh to the rain forest and all of the other popular themes people seem to like these days, I looked at target and they did not have alot of matching things. I like babies r us and i have shopped there on line a few times with this pregnancy, the problem is that it is alot more expensive for the same things I find at walmart. If money is not an issue for your family and friends then choose babies r us the selection is better than target. Or you can register at both places and let your guests pick where they want to go.
You can register at both, just don't put the exact same things on them also, people can buy online through babies r us if they don't have one near them.
Babies R Us. They are a baby store, that means they will have absolutely everything you will need for the little one. Target in another hand is good but only has a fraction of the items needed for a newborn and they are similar in prices, so is not like you would save a lot of money or anything like that. Plus remember people can buy on-line on babiesrus.com if it's more convenient for them.
Why not both? That way, people who cannot or do not want to travel very far can go to Target and people who dont mind to, will go to Babies R Us!
