Is it normal to have light, pink-ish spotting after intercourse? First trimester?? This is my 3rd pregnancy and this has never happened before. I had an ultrasound and everything was normal. The doctor says its due to new capillaries on the cervix?? How long will this last and is it safe to have intercourse?

I never had the spotting with my pregnancy after sex. I would always talk to my doc. to be sure and if he/she doesnt see any problem with it then I would go ahead.
I was going to tell you exactly what your doctor said about the capillaries on the cervix. Sometimes they can break and bleed. It is like having an physical exam at the obgyn and later you have a brownish type discharge. Does the discharge stay pink or does it eventually turn brown? This also happened to me in my 3rd pregnancy. It scared me to death, but everything was fine.
