Do you drop more than once during pregnancy? My friend said she dropped three different times. Just curious.

the baby may go lower, come back up, and go lower again. Or the baby could have gotten a little lower each time, so she felt as if she dropped three times. When you actually "drop" the baby enters the pelvis and positions itself at the opening of the birth canal, once this happens it does not usually go back up. Although it is possible, it is know as "disengagement" and it happened with my mom when she was in labor with me, I had completely dropped into the birth canal and then just went right back up (I've always been a stubborn one, hehe) but this is very unusual.
The baby 'technically' drops once, but she may be feeling the baby moving up and down in her uterus. When she sits the baby will be higher, and when she walks the baby will be lower.

Dropping means the baby dropped into the birthing canal. A baby doesn't drop into the birthing canal and then decided to come out of it. Your friends baby might have moved a lot and moved lower but a baby does not drop into the birthing canal more than once.
no no the baby doesnt just drop and come back out. the baby is probably moving and going in and out of position but thats not the same as dropping. droppign usually only happens in the very end of the pregnancy when they baby is ready to get out, so you see its impossible for the baby to "drop" more than once, but yes the baby can "lower" into the correct birthing position more than once
