Should I pursue surgery to correct a heart shaped uterus?
Answer:
This sounds very much like me. The doctor discovered I have a bicornuate uterus during my c-section as well. My son was actually really only on one side of the uterus. We believe he implanted in the horn. Anyhow, you can barely see the heart shape in ultrasounds unless you really search and my doctors are not really worried about it. Do you know how divided your uterus is? If it is not very divided, really, your risk is not much higher than other women's risk. Unless your doctor clearly believes your first miscarriage was a result of the deformity and not just a regular miscarriage, you really needn't do anything.
Get a third opinion. You don't want to endanger your life or the life of your unborn baby.
Good luck to you and your child!
Go and see a specilist at your local hospital, only someone who knows exactly what they are talking about should infuence your decition on this matter. So many people trust their gp when in truth they know a bit about everything but a specilist knows exactly what it is you need to know.
Get another opinion; maybe find a specialist. If anything, locate a certified OB/GYN. Many doctors will practice in this field w/ out actually being certified.
