Has anyone had luck on Clomid?
Please positive advice and feed back only
Answer:
Yes, I was on clomid. I am in Canada so our healthcare program and our extended medical paid for most..sorry don't know about what you have for coverage or where you are.
Anyways, I had irregular or no period at all so trying to conceive was like trying to win the lottery without knowing when or where to buy a ticket!!?? I now have 2 beautiful children (one at a time...no litters!!) and had to have clomid with both. With my first child it took me only 2 cycles (2 months) and I had not had a period for over a year, but with my second it took almost a whole year with the clomid doses increasing every 3 months although I had not had a period of any regularity for nearly 3 years before I began the clomid again.
We had actually come to the conclusion that we were only going to have one and then wouldn't you know it. finally got pregnant. I feel that without the Clomid we would still be childless so keep trying and I do believe that when I relaxed about the whole thing that seemed to be when it happened. Stressing about it can hinder your chances.
My specialist told me that there is absolutely no reason that a woman with irregular or no cycle (and no physical issues) should not be able to get pregnant...you just need to find the right combination. I wish you all the luck in the world! Keep trying...it's worth it!
My aunt used clomid and within 3 months she got preg. She only had one beautiful baby. Not everyone may concieve 2 or more children using clomid.
no, sorry
I took it for a number of cycles until i got to the highest dose and it didnt work for me. I found there to be some pretty horrible side effects and was a bit of a mess emotionally because of it. Having experienced fertility probs i have talked to a lot of other people that have been through it too and at least for the people i know it didnt work - having said that it must work for some otherwise it wouldnt be so widely prescribed.
I went on to do ovulation induction through an ivf clinic and whilst i did not have success doing this i do have at least 2 friends that each concieved 3 children each this way (both have a set of twins).
When i was told to try ivf next i put it off and decided to travel a bit first and then fell pregnant the good old fashioned way and am nearly 36 weeks.
Good luck - be informed about your choices and know that if clomid doesnt work there are other options. Look up previous questions relating to clomid as i have answered similar questions before so there are some people out there that are having success.
I took clomid at the smallest dose available but I took mine on defferent days. I took clomid in July, August, and September...Sept was the lucky month, I am currently 22.3 weeks pregnant.
