I was taught that you can only get pregnant during your fertile days?

with comes in the middle of your cycle, starting with the first day of your period, maybe i'm old school, has this theory changed?

Answer:
You can get pregnant any time of the month, trust me. It all depends on when you, yourself ovulate.
Well, in THEORY that's right but they also know that many women ovulate more than once a month, throwing that off. Also, since every woman's cycle is different, it's very hard to tell. Many women get pregnant when they are "supposed to".
That is how it is for someone who has a regular cycle. Women can ovulate at any time, depending on their body. Your "fertile" days are when you are ovulating. Some women don't ovulate on the 14th day, which is considered average.
you canget pregnant any day because how r u going to know when ur fertile days r|> another thing yes you can get pregnant on the first time so people rap it up
Um...well there are two days out of the month that you Can get preganant. Sometimes people have to take tests to find out the days you can actully get pregnant.
You were taught wrong.and many a baby has been born from this sort of thinking. You can get pregnant anytime...including DURING your period. Try the pill or at least a condom and even they are not 100%.
Sperm can survive up to 5 days in fertile quality cervical fluid. The middle of the cycle theory is really a myth, because different women ovulate at different times during their cycle. If you want to know when you ovulate, I'd recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. You can learn to chart your cycles using your basal body temperature (BBT) and your fertility signs.

On the other hand, if you're NOT trying to conceive, use birth control every time, no matter when in your cycle.
