19 weeks pregnant today and not feeling the baby?
Answer:
It's okay.. sometimes the baby will move and sometimes it won't! If you're really worried go to the doctor!
go to the doctor now!!!!1
You usually can't start to feel the baby move regularly until after about 21 weeks. But, if your worried about it, maybe you should see your doctor. Try not to stress too much, though, it's not good for you or the baby. Good luck!
da baby might be sleep or might not be dat active
If I remember correctly you don't feel much at 20 weeks apart from a fluttering type feeling. If you're really worried see your doctor. That's what they're there for. Hope all is well. I love babies!
some times baby's go quite for a bit. u should ring your mid wife or the maternity unit of you local hospital if you are worried, they will be open now. they will help you every way they can.
Was the baby movement pretty constant before? Sometimes the baby won't move for a day or so, but 2 weeks is quite a long time. Maybe the baby is moving, you just can't tell all the time. I would go and see your Dr. they will hook you up to a monitor and check and see if everything is fine. DON'T stress, keep as calm as possible. Congrats and Good Luck.
dont take my word 4 it, but i think it is canny normal not to feel anything untill 20 summit weeks, my sis is 24wks pregnant and she just felt movement bout 2 weeks ago. The feeling you felt b4 gudda bin anything, pregnant woman have twice as much wind, cudda bin that...beta get it checked out abyway tho, best to b safe,,, gud luk x
It depends on the circumstances.
I have been pregnant twice, my first baby would not keep still and the second didn't move very much at all, you do need to phone the midwife if you are concerned however I shouldn't worry too much, you are probably having a boy, they are REALLY lazy in the womb, or tend to be!
Most people wont even feel the baby until about 20 weeks. You may have felt soething else at 17 weeks such as gas or the fluid. If you have worried call your doctor or go to the ER. Most likley if you are not bleeding it is just not time for your baby to move with enough strenght for you to feel him/her.
Do not set yourself for panic by waiting until the quiet times. Take a piece of paper and write down the time you start paying attention, put a check mark on the paper every time you feel movement (kick, twist, punch, turn). Do not count hiccups. When you have felt ten movements, write that time down as well.
Doing this at the same time every day will help with the accuracy of the test. If your baby is having a slow day, try walking for five minutes, eating, or drinking juice and then go lie down on your left side to see if that will perk your sleepy little one up. Keep in mind that we do not feel all the movements of the baby. We actually probably are too busy moving ourselves to notice the majority of movements. Also, a placenta that is anterior or a mother with some extra weight may provide yet another barrier to feeling all the movements.
Your baby should move ten times in four hours. If this does not happen call your practitioner for advice on what to do next.
Remember, there are different methods of kick counting. Ask your practitioner which they prefer, or use the one provided here.
If you truly are concerned schedule the next available appt with your doctor to get an ultrasound, if you are unable to wait and are that concerned visit your local ER and explain to them you are concerned and just would like them to check.
They will help you right away.
Get a shot glass and place ot over the womb Have someone put their ear to it and listen for a fast heart beat.
If you really feel that all that is beyond you make an appointment for an ultrasound and put your mind ate rest. it is not unusual to have no feeling of the child. In lots of cases the movements may occur when you are asleep. The diurnal clock has changed and the babe is on nightshift!
i dont think u have anything 2 worry about at this stage as babies movements arent that big yet. but if u r worried contact ur midwife and she will check that all is ok.
Overweight women have a harder time feeling the baby. It is normal that you aren't feeling him/her as much. You can call the hospital just in case though.
If your really worried about this go to the doctor. I did only this time and this is my 5th pregnancy. Of course this stubborn little girl inside of me just did't feel like being as active as her brothers. The doctor checked and of course she made me feel like a fool because she was jumping all over the place in the hospital. 20+ is when you should feel movement so they say because I felt movement quite earlier with all my boys. Eat something sweet and drink some juice wait for about 30 minutes lay down and pay attention to your stomache. Alot of times the baby is moving but your so busy going through the daily affairs in life that you don't even notice the movement.
Some moms can feel their baby move as early as 13-16 weeks. These first fetal movements are called quickening and are often described as flutters. It may be difficult to determine whether this feeling is gas or your baby’s movements, but soon you will begin to notice a pattern. First-time moms may not feel these movements as early as second-time moms. Some moms, especially those in their first pregnancy, may not feel movement until 18-20 weeks. Remember that each woman and each pregnancy is different, so you may not feel movement as early as another woman. There is a broad range of when the first detection of movement can be felt, ranging from 13-25 weeks.
when your about 20+ weeks thats when you should start feeling the baby...ive had the same scare and im 26weeks...yest i got monitored and baby was moving around like crazy..but i was not feeling a thing..about week 28 is when you start doing kick/movement counts daily..my doctor gave me a chart saying i should feel 10 movements in 4 hours...b/c baby has its rest periods...and baby might not be facing your stomach could be facing your back and you wouldnt feel anything...but if your really worried i would say call your doctor pronto to put your mind at ease!
i didn't feel real movement until 20-21 weeks, pregnancy weekly is a really good website to go onto they let you know what to expect or not to expect. if you are really concerned go to your gp
hey babe go to the doctors honey they will try and put youtr mind at ease. yo can book an emergency appiontment. They should see you instantly.
Good luck honey
Sit yourself quiet, on the sofa with relax drink some cold water and a little chocolate if you have some, and wait sing a little song gently rub some baby oil on your stomach see what happens, if nothing try later.
I'm 19weeks tomorrow with 2nd, overweight my movement is now just a really gentle flick from inside. This is your 1st baby so often 1st movement only felt between 18-22 weeks, if in any doubt goto your maternity assessment unit or midwife notify of your fears and say you'd be much happier if they could listen to baby's heart beat, i'm sure it won't be long till you get a good old punch or kick:o)
sometimes with ya first baby you dont feel a great deal at first until baby gets bigger, if you are really worried then phone the dr or pop yaself up to ya local maternity unit and they will be ok at putting at mind at rest, dont sit there worrying..good luck
With your first pregnancy you wont feel the baby move until your 20+ weeks. You will feel the butterfly feelings that you get. Don't worry being overweight will make it harder for you to recognised the kicks and turns but when your further gone you will know. Good luck xx
Have you had a scan or seen your midwife recently. My first advice would be to go and see her or the gp. Also the baby is really really small at this time and if you are busy you may miss the moves as they are so slight at this age. Hope all is ok and that you feel your little one move soon.
I did not feel my baby move till I was 22 weeks pregnant, and she is totally healthy. If you are worried, dont take any chances, see your doctor!
