Can implantation bleeding occur before you missed your perio?
Answer:
1) the bleeding is most likely a result of missing your pills. The reason you have your "period" when you're on the pill is when you take those seven green pills, they are just sugar pills, and the lack of the hormone makes your body shed the uterine lining.
2) FYI, implantation occurs about 7-10 days post ovulation, which is about a week before you miss your period. Bleeding does not always occur though.
3) Pg tests are most effective (fewer false negatives) if you wait until the day of your expected period or later. Before this, you might get a positive, but you could also get a false negative.
4) If you want to get pg, you should go off the pill. Needless to say, you should also discuss it with your boyfriend and make sure you are both ready, emotionally and financially, for the responsibility of being parents.
If you think you may be pregnant, stop taking your bc and use condoms for the next month. You can take an early pregnancy test now, and if it's negative take another one in a week if you still don't get your period. Implantation bleeding occures when the embryo attaches itself to your uterus. This can happen 7 - 10 days after the egg is fertilized, so yes implantation bleeding can occur before a missed period.
P.S. If you want to be pregnant, talk to your b/f and see if he wants the same thing. Then you can be off bc and try. It took me 6 months after coming off bc to get pregnant. It can stay in your system for a few months after your last pill. Good Luck!
