What's the average heartbeat for a fetus at around 8 weeks?

I had my first ultrasound/sonogram last week and my baby's is a whopping 158bpm. The doc said that was very good. I'm wondering if that is around the average. If you remember, what was your baby's at the 2 month mark (in utero)?

That's a good dtrong heartbeat. The higher the heartbeat usually means a girl. MY son's stayed at a steady 140 -145 throughtout my pregnancy.
I did not know i was pg until later so i first saw the heart beat at 13 1/2 weeks and it was about 145 bpm. now it jumps all over the place whether it's awake or not
That sounds good. Dylan's was 167! at his 8 weeks app. Now im 36 weeks and it is 148
I am nine weeks and I went to the Doctor last week for an ultrasound - it was approx 150bpm.
