How do i know if my child is smart?

there's no such thing as smart or dumb. every child is unique and has their own specialties. have you heard about a multiple intellingence theory? if your child is doing bad in academics, that doesn't mean that he's stupid or dumb or whatever you wanna call it, but he may be good in something else. He may be good in art or sports or cooking and etc. you as a parent, have to help them in finding the things that they're good at. do not give too high expectations, because it'll only make them stress. always remember to focus on what the child can do, rather than what they cannot do.
The teachers will tell you
If he lives to a ripe old age.
make him take an IQ test (www.intelligencetest.com) or just stick around him and speak to his teachers to find out how good he is in school. Just remember that having the biggest marks doesn't mean he's really smart. You can do that by studying alot. So give him freedom and keep an eye on how he's doing.
