My son has weird color Poop..like yellow. what should i do..should i worry?

My son is 1 years old and our whole family was sick with the stomach bug and he started 1 week ago today with this funny looking poop it was yellow and runny and today he still has that kind of poop i was thinking maybe he was getting that kind of poop because he was on regular milk now..i dont know please help me im really worried!..

Answer:
I would not worry so much about the color as I would about the texture. If it is runny or contains mucus those are both a clear sign he is getting sick. See if bananas clear that up. If he feels fine and has no fever then don’t worry about the color. Different foods cause different color for different people. But with diarrhea watch for signs of sickness, complaints, fever, stomach ache. Make sure to give him plenty of fluids. Set up an appt with is doctor. You can always cancel if he feels better the next day.
Last year, around this time, I got some nasty diarhea with a strange chalky-yellow poop. (I was sick for a week -- could barely stand up from it! -- and had to go on antibiotics.)

My son got the same thing, though -- since we were breastfeeding -- HE didn't need antibiotics.

Starting cow's milk DOES NOT cause yellow poop. I'd say he's getting sick.

I'd also say, if this doesn't clear up soon, you-all need to go to the doc.
