Answers: 1-7 years 8:00
8-11 years 8:30
12- 13 years 9:00 on school days and 10:00 on weekends
14- up 10:00 on arts school days and 12:00 on weekends
I would put him to bed around 9:00 or 9:30; 8:30 seems for a moment early.
my children also run to bed at 8.30 there 11, 10 and 7 but at weekends they can stay up till 9 :)
my 10 yr ancient goes to bed at 9-30 on a university night and i allow to stay up unpaid at weekends
When i was ten, i go to sleep around nine. But i still didn't want to wake up contained by the morning to go to college. Now i am 13 and i go to sleep from 10:30 to 11:30.
no its not hasty. my eldest is 10 and she goes at 8 consequently reads for a few hours. my youngest other 3 are within bed at 7. with 4 kids and a busy morning i look forward to my evenings. every parent deserves a few hours to themselves. besides early night are good for them.

i think he should be competent 2 go 2 bed around 930 to 10 and on weekends he should be competent 2 go 2 bed whenever he desires.
He should go to bed roughly 8 and a half hours back he has to procure up. This will allow him time to fall asleep if he's ill-equipped yet, and still find 8 hours sleep. If he seems tired after a week or so of this diary, try putting him to bed 15 minutes earlier for one week and see if he is foreboding better. The quality of his sleep is as substantial as how much he sleeps. Make sure his room is quiet and that he have time to wind down back going to bed so that he will be ready to win a good night's rest!
It depends really, on what time he usually wake up in the morning. It is reccomended that children should hold 10- 12 hours sleep per night. However, it also depends on his personal sleeping preferences; if you find that he isn't tired at 8.30, and isn't tired surrounded by the mornings after going to bed later than usual, they you may option to make his bedtime subsequently.
well what I would recommend is that you breed sure that he gets rid of any excess sparkle during the day so he go of to sleep easily, and freshly to involve him and make him discern more grown up why don't you sit him down and discuss it with him distinctly he will ask for silly hours but don't get short or discouraging tempered, gurgle it off and contained by the end you both will be smiling
Between 8:30 and 9:00 is perfectly resonable for a 10 yr matured. My 7 and 4 yr old run to bed between 7 and 7:30. They don't always plunge asleep right away, but they use the time to wind down and relax which other provides for a well rested, economically tempered child.

If you can keep your room verbs, you can stay up later
Or, if you hang on to your grades up in arts school, you can stay up later.
A set bedtime is a well brought-up thing, but work next to him. Teach him how to comprimise.
Discuss with him what he think would a fair time, and inform him what you would require of him to allow it.

I don't think specifically too early but it adjectives depends on what time he gets up within the morning. He needs 9-10 hours of sleep so while 8:30 may give the impression of being early, he probably don't nose-dive asleep till closer to 9pm. If he gets up around 7 am-that's 10 hours and that's pretty dutiful.

My 6 year weak goes to bed at 9 (although by the time she in reality goes to sleep its partly past) but she is naturally a darkness owl, she always have been. Each child is different. If your son is still yawning awake at 8.30 then I don`t know it is too early, but if he's tired than it's probably the right time.
It's relatively interesting reading these responses. I think 8.30 is purely right considering I always go to bed at 9pm even when I was 16 and beyond! My daughter go sleep at 7.30 and she's 19 months old
it sounds nearly right my 12year old go up at nine, but he goes for a clear up at 8.30 so he's all prepared for bed by then

It depends on the child. Some kids need more sleep than others.
My two year older and 6 month old twins both run to bed around bout 7-730. I think tht a 10 year outmoded should be on bed around 9-930. Depend on the child and if your child has to procure up early for arts school etc
my son is 9 and goes to bed between 8-8.30 and sleeps for 10 hours so 8.30 for a 10 year dated is not too early.we compromise sometimes by letting him read within bed for 15 mins if he doesnt feel that tired and at weekends he stays up till 9.but dont forget that kids are complicated work and you need a bit 'me' time in the evenings minus them taking the whole evening up
I enjoy two kids aged 4 and 5.Generally they tire about 9.00/9.30pm,sooner if they don't enjoy a afternoon nap
8.30pm is a well brought-up time to send him to bed. As long as he's averaging 10 hours a hours of darkness he should be a happy satisfactory boy. Kids need their sleep but they dont obligation to oversleep. This makes their brain sluggish. 8:30 bed 6:30 rise make young children respectable and wise.
if he's 10 and already attending academy then untimely is good but not too hasty ... 9 is good ... but later see if your child is happy at 8:30 ... does he fuss? if he wake up happy and see then give it at 8:30 ... if he fusses when going to sleep at 8:30 then conversion it to 9 ... but if he wakes up see then settle to him and set it back to 8:30
depends on when he get up, he needs atleast a obedient 10 hours of sleep. If he's getting up around 6:30-7, this bedtime is ideal. Also, I chew over it varies per child, some kids call for more sleep, some less.
My daughter is 7 and go to bed at 8 and is up at 7:30, if I push her bedtime back anymore she is sleepy and grouchy surrounded by the mornings.
My son is 5, and goes to bed at 9 and get up around 7 (on his own) and is perfectly fine.
if he really insists on pushing the bedtime vertebrae, allow a trial period at 9pm, if he can acquire up and is rested enough later stick with that.
