What do you feed your 12-18 month old? (Not what dr.s reccommend, what they will actually eat?)?

Answer:
buttered toast, dry cereal, peanut butter sandwhich, oatmeal, fried eggs, baby carrots, sliced apples with out the skins, applesauce, chicken nuggets, fish patties or fish sticks, french toast sticks waffles, pancakes with fruit in them cut up pears, potatoe pancakes, mashed potatoes, french fries, rice cakes, sweet peas in butter, green beans and sweet corn kernals, mostly they will eat what you eat dont allow your child to get to choosy they need to learn to eat what is in front of them, and remember there tummies are small so they wont eat much food at one time. my kids arnt usually hungry at the same time everyday. i feed them breakfast and lunch at the same time everyday, and with dinner they let me know when they are hungry. teach them to say num-num or the word food so when they are hungry they will learn to communicate that to you. also i wouldnt recommend peanuts, lettuce, or other things they could choke on or have a hard time chewing. they are still learning how to eat. also when you introduce a new food they may not take to it right away because of taste or texture. it may take several tries before they continue to eat that new food.
lots of fruit and veggies. taught them young to have a taste for the things that most kids shun
whatever your cooking for yourself, just cut it into smaller pieces.
Often times, when they are in their high chair, at the table, they will want whatever you are eating (except for the stuff that's really hard to chew) or give him/her finger foods and juice in a sippy cup.
When my 3 were really small - I NEVER asked the doctor what to feed them. I just fed them whatever I knew they could handle.
Lots of ripe fruits and vegetables. Anything that you cooks for the family, remove bones and don't make it too spicy.
the following items are what i was fed as a child
chicken
carrots
cherries
apples
pears
bananas
human flesh
dog treats
cheerios
and anything that is healthy for you, just cut it up into small pieces
anyting that he would eat, he's 2 now and very healthy. for 2 days all he ate was granola bars. at this age they would rather eat throughout the day rather than structured meals. Maybe having the baby play and feeding bits of whatever your eating will help.
My son is 13 months old and he eats whatever the family is eating. He also drinks 16 oz of milk and a few cups of watered down juice. The only times he gets baby food is when he's sick or when he's out with my family and they aren't eating when he's hungry.
heh... my 18 month old eats everything we do generally. She chows it all down :)
Have you tried blending food like chicken? Put some veges or fruits or pretty much anything and blend it in your blender. Be careful.
my daughter loves fruit, yogurt, veggies, maseroni and cheese, chicken, cheese, waffles, almost anything!! just fix a healthy meal and keep introducing new things<slowly and not all at once> and you'll figure out what your baby likes!
Offer them what you are eating with pieces smaller. Please offer your child a healthy diet, fruit, veggies etc. Good luck
Do not offer your child peanut butter it can be considered a choking hazard for children under 2.
Pretty much what we eat. The only difference is I feed my son mostly the baby food veggies because he has a hard time chewing the steamed veggies I make for the family. As for the other answerers ban on peanut butter, if you mix the jelly and the peanut butter (creamy not crunchy) in a bowl it makes it much more easy to chew and swallow.
Good question. My 2 year old ate baby food, pees, mashed carrots, potatoes, dry cerial, milk, oat meal, french fries, bread, peanut butter [be careful about that one, your baby might be allergic] Well anyway anything mostly.
