Toddler moving to bed and sleeping bags.?
Answer:
I would let her continue using the sleeping bag until she's old enough to make her own bed. I did this with my three and my son has done this with his three.
leave the sleeping bag on for a while
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?
Transition with the sleeping bag because she is familiar with it!
Depends, if she's excited about being a big girl and getting a big girls bed a nice treat is a new duvet cover with a picture on that she chooses. You can leave the bag around for comfort until she doesn't need it; say its for if it gets cold.
Try both! What do you have to loose?
Get the duvet and then ask your toddler what they want.
How old is your toddler? My daughter was put into a big bed just before she was 2 yrs old and she just has a duvet over her which is tucked in at the sides, she doesn't walk yet so at the moment she calls us when she wakes up. Don't forget the stairgates if putting toddler in big bed !!!
I would leave the sleeping bag, the need some security while making a transition. when we moved into our new house my 2 yr old refused to sleep in her bed so she slept in her tent, it was her security , but now she has adjusted and sleeps in her bed.
the thing is, she might try to get out of bed and she wont be able to walk because of the sleeping bag and she might fall over and hurt herself! try using a duvet in the cot first before moving her in the bed so she gets used to it. good luck!
I started using a duvet and pillow while she was in the cot bed, then when we moved her to a real bed she was used to it already. Maybe too much change at once would be traumatic. Maybe you shouldn't use a sleeping bag in the bed in case your child falls out?
