I am a stay at home mom...I would like to start a play group with different moms in the area..?

any suggestions on how to get this started..I would like to turn it into a one to two day story time or play group and also earn some money from it...bake sales..garage sales..ect..toddlers learn and interact better at home and among other toddlers that they are familiar with.. any suggestions or ideas??

My play group began when 1 mom put a sign up at the local library. I don't know about making money from a play group. I have enjoyed it because my kids had friends to play with and I had a great group of moms for mutual support during what is the most important time in our kids' lives. Keep it simple.
Meetup.com is great for starting up a playgroup or for joining an existing one!
We have a local moms group here and I found it in the local paper. If you have a community paper you could put an ad in there. Also some of the 'my gym' places have boards you can put up ads at.
I second meetup.com I joined one in my area and met alot of moms and kids, and there is always something to do.
