How did you tell your parents and friends you were gay?

just curious was it hard? howlong did you hide it?

Answer:
a question for you... why is this in the toddler area..? lol
I would look hard into finding a support group for teens or early 20a who are not yet "out of the closet"

At the ripe old age of 40, I have learned that it is always easier in life to tell the truth right away than to wait for the repercussions of waiting to tell the truth (the anxiety!) or having someone else find out (the drama!)

Find those personally close to you who support you the most in every other thing; these will be the people who will support you in coming out. Find those in similar situations through support groups at your school or through a Yahoo Group.

Be true to yourself in all things and honest as much as possible with others. Later in life you can only look back and judge how you acted in this situation -- if anyone else doesn't accept your honesty or the way that God made you, than f*ck 'em. As long as you acted with honesty and integrity -- that's what matters.

Good luck to you. I wish you all the best.
Have a coming-out party. Invite those who care for you and celebrate your newfound ability to be yourself. I mean, there's no need to flaunt it but you can offer those who care for you the opportunity to congratulate you on your decision to live your own life the way you have been biologically programmed to live it.
