My son need to learn how to count to 100, any techniques I can use?

Wow! That's ambitious for a preschool class! They learn to count to 100 in the second semester of KG here!
Go to a teacher's supply store and get a 100 chart. Or make one on your computer. Teach him to count to 20 if he doesn't know how yet, as that's the hardest part. Then teach him to count by 10's. Then fill in the parts in between. Work on one set of skills at a time until he gets them.
You could also get an abacus for him to practice with.
Does he "need" to, or wants to...he's only in preschool! Is he going for the Einstein award? Give him a break!
This is asking alot from a preschooler. I suggest not pushing. My kindergartener is still learning, and my mom is a preschool teacher, and would not require this of her kids. The best way is just to count over and over again. good luck
flash cards are great,teach him to write them as well.count pennies with him,make learning fun.count macaroni with him. of course supervised so he does not but things in his mouth.
Try to get him to recognize the number patterns.
He needs to memorize how to count to 10 and then keep repeating the number pattern through the teens, twenties, thirties etc….
With my daughter, (almost 4) repetition is the key. I count with her over and over again and it seems to work. I liked the idea above about starting to count to 20 first, then counting in 10s to 100, then filling in the gaps. That makes a lot of sense to me.
My girls did it the old fashioned way, we used pennies. Then we started counting toys, like their barbies. Then books. We just kept counting everything making it a game. It was easier for them this way.
