Thank you from all the help at yahoo.
Answer:
I agree with everyone else. Please remove the name and address. You can set up a bank account at any bank for donations and not have any charges. If anything, post that instead of personal information.
not a good idea.. postinga child's name and address on here.. really not smart..
it sounds like your son might be pregnant. you should probably get an ultrasound
I dont think that your going to get any help from here. I would plan a benefit dinner or luncheon at your church or try going to the bank to set a donation jar. People dont trust other people on the internet, and I really cant blame them. Theres too many scammers.
Look, I am sorry your son is ill, but posting his personal info out here for any freak to hunt him down is not going to help him.
And for the record, my twin sons have heart conditions and may need surgery at some point. Even if I couldn't afford it I don't think I would ask people here for it. If your community knows about it, they will pull it together for you.
I hope you find someone to help you =) but I have to agree, not a good idea to post the childs name and address.
Get your local radio stations to announce this and that will help you! They will check your story out before doing so, so people will feel more easy to give when not in fear of a scam!!! If you are not scamming, I am sorry for you! Try the local stations! This could help bigtime!!!!!!!!!... I agree with the first answer about posting name with address of a child!!!! Your local radio station will collect for you without giving out this info! Hope I helped!!
how much is the operation gonna cost ?
"all we have recieved is $1,348.00"
be ******* grateful you get anything !!!!!
I hate to sound mean, if what you are saying is true.but now a days you can't trust people. Anyone could be on here asking form money like this, when they don't even have a son and are just pulling a scam. People arn't going to want to help unless there is proof that you are telling the truth. Even then, you shouldn't have put your personal names and adresses on here. Your communtiy will probably help you more, if you gave them more information, Hold a benifit or fundraiser.
I applaud you for doing whatever is needed to raise the money for your son but I think you would have much better success if you spoke with a non-profit organization in your area who would be willing to sponsor your son and set up a charitable foundation account at your local bank to receive donations and manage the account rather than asking for donations to be sent directly to you or your son..you'll run into some serious tax issues if you don't do this correctly and most people are rightfully hesitant to send money to individuals when there is no oversight to ensure the funds are used as the donors intended.
If you are truly in need, you need to go to get some help from social services. Ask a social worker or a case worker at the hopital. I hope little Travis will be ok.
I will pray for you and your family and that maybe some place like the Elks Lodge will donate a room for you to have a benefit and that people will donate things to help with an auction.
I know that Cardinal Glennon has a policy that if you're in financial strain they will accept anyone with or without insurance. Sometimes they ask for a small percentage ($2,000) but that's all they'll ask for.
You can contact Shriners Hospital.the one in St. Louis is a bone hospital but there are MANY others that specialize in other areas. They will turn nobody down and will never accept any money or ask for any money. They will even provide transportation and hotel accomodations if you live too far away.
Speak to your son's dr's about other options
If your child is that seriously ill, you should be able to get him Medicaid as supplemental insurance or as a primary insurance if you have none. Contact social services in your area - they can help you.
