What do you buy a 9 month old grandson for xmas?
Answer:
Something useful like a high chair or a collapsible buggy. He is too young to know the difference and I am sure that with all the othe expenses of having a baby, his parents will appreciate it.
Or as it's his first Christmas you could get him a keepsake like a piece of jewellery, something that his parents can put away for him for when he's older.
Or there's something I wish I had done when my kids were little and that is buy a newspaper on the day they were born, 1st birthday, 1st Christmas etc and also buy the record that was at number 1 in the charts on that day then keep them in a lovely gift bag. It would have been really good fun and nostalgic to look back on those sorts of things now especially if you had a local paper with house prices in. That would be a really good thing to compare!
Something his mom and dad would appreciate you buying him. He's 9 months and not going to know the difference. I am sure mom and dad would like you to buy him clothes, or other useful items.
a big cardboard box
HE WILL BE MORE INTERESTED IN THE WRAPPING
have someone hand nit him a blanket or something for his room that's what i would do!
Ask his parents if there is something they really need for him.
A night of babysitting so the parents can go out.
If he's spoilt wrotten, how about a charitable subscription on his behalf. You can choose from umpteen.
Set him up a bank account which he can have at 18! I wish I'd done it for my three kids!
a cute little pillow that'll remind him of u..Ü
(a unique one that kinda has a few of YOU in it)..
or u could jez give him hugs n kisses on christmas..
heh..Ü
by something like a big indor climbing fraame
start a fund for him if he deceides to go to college
Buy him some clothes he only wat 9 months cant have too many
Spring/Summer clothes for a 12-18 month old. Babies grow really quick so if you do the normal "gran" thing and buy him a nice warm jumper for winter, he won't be able to wear it next year.
Or a learning toy, with different sounds, colours, lights and textures that can be put in or on his cot/pram.
a gift voucher for toy r us?
Kids love playing in those tunnel things you can fold up.
My kids loved that musical carousel thing by Disney that projected pictures on the wall at night when they were going to sleep...that was the coolest...wonder if they make that anymore?
Big talking stuffed toys are kind of cool...the more they do the better.
Clothes however are always appreciated I'm sure.
I would get a toy that a baby can pull up on and play while holding onto it, but standing up, it helps them with their walking. Like a play station, that has a piano, or something.
then set him up a bond for the kid so when he grows up he can have a little extra money!
At nine months the baby is learning new things everyday. Some kind of hands on toy would be great it teaches good eye hand cordination and concentration.
just buy clothes for him,or a baby toy.
I would put some money in a high interest account for him for when he is older.
NOTHING...he doesn't need christmas. Give the kid a chance please!! I hope you are not telling the baby about "Santa Fraud" (Claus)
Ooh isn't it exciting, I have a two month old nephew and I can't stop buying him stuff! Have you got him;
a little hat for his cold little head
a big jumper with something cute on it
a teddy bear (saw one in habitat and it's blue with red lips)
a piggy bank
a little tiny rocking horse
a snow suit
a wooden aeroplane or ship or aomething
Can't think of anything else...
open a bank account for him them put more money in each birthday and christmas
I buy for my granddaughters at mastermindtoys.com. If you have AirMiles, you can also collect and shop through the AirMiles.ca site and go to MastermindToys through there. If he's spoiled rotten, get him something that will help him learn; that is a good way to get around the spoiled rotten thing. There is LeapPads and Vtech learning toys for that age.
Good luck!
you have received a lot of feed back regarding this question..Have you asks your grandson's parents what he needs? Many have suggested a bank acct. or clothes. What about diapers and formula. I'm sure that his parents would appreciate the break from having to buy those items. They are also a practical gift. you could also make a small gift basket with lotion, shampoo, etc.
Good luck with your selection and keep us posted
a couple of grams of Dope for when he's older? good investment
open up a savings account, i have a money box on my windowsill for each of my gran children and each week i put one pound into them ,then every time there's five pounds i put it into their savings accounts,a really good present is a grow bag, they are fantastic. they are pouches that go over their pyjamas, they sleep in them there's no need for covers so they can wriggle about as much as they like they wont get cold and they cant suffocate, my daughter-in-law swears by them you can get them from mother care,
one of those ball pit things from toys r us bright and colourful fun and keeps him in one place my nephew loves his
if he is spoilt rotten then give his parents some money to put into his bank account or trust fund. It's not as if he will understand the whole concept of Christmas.
My son was 9 months old last Christmas & he was bought far too many toys. We had to hide some & get them out as the year went on as there was no way he could play with them all.
