What can you tell a toddler that they have chicken pox and telling them how to get rid of the chicken pox?

how do i tell them in Toddler languages to help them understand? and to explain to them that chicken pox is not really related to the animal (chicken). I have a little cousin she have chicken pox and i dont know how to explain to her. thanks in advance.

Answer:
If you don't want to confuse her with the whole "They're chicken pox but they don't have to do with chickens" then call them something else. Tell her she has "The Scratchies" or "The Bumpies"
You are sick, you have a rash...dont scratch! you will likely have to repeat that last one a few billion times
i don't think she needs to know the exact scientific explanation of the chicken pox. just making this itchy time happy for her is impt. Oatmeal baths and having fun maybe couting the chicken pox, heck even name them and act like if your zapping them with Caladryl cream. Maybe buy her some special books or rent some cool dvds and she's going to have a better time instead of focusing on scratching or knowing exactly what it is...
