I cannot get MY 2YR OLD to eat ANYTHING?
getting very worried, stressed and anxious about this any sugestions any one
once he says no thats it meal times aer taking over an hour and no joy at the end of it
i have 4 other kids who all eat ok my 7 yrold has ADD i am now begining to worry is this ther start of another child with this condition

It sounds like the little guy gets your undivided attention. Try ignoring him and see if that works. He can sense that you're stressed and thinks it's funny. Once he knows that it doesn't bother you I bet he will eat.
I had same problem when my child was 18 months old. I took her to a specialist. His words exactly were: "No child in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney will starve herself. When she is hungry she will eat." Please consider the size of a stomach of a 2 yo.

Offer him finger foods...cheerios, pbjs, veggie sticks. Don't try to force anything on him. Offer him things. If he is otherwise healthy he will eventually start eating.
Don't stress...I have 2 little ones & both went through not eating at the same age. Put food in frount of him, do not strap him down or foce him to eat. He will when he is hungrey. If he drinks milk, dont allow the milk until after a meal has been eaten and in moderation (milk is very filling) If he loses alot of weight or becomes sickly take him to the doctor. Also when you feed him, remember that his stomach is only the size of his closed fist, & if not very active his digestion may be slow. Good Luck
Children love to work us over. I dont have that problem with my son. But dont worry it dont try to force feed him whenever he is hungry he will eat. Did your son with ADD act this way before you found out that he had ADD if so then i would be worried as well. But most kids go through their lil stradegies to see how we work. Good luck take him to the Dr so you wont be so stressed and they will figure out the problem
Stop worrying, he eats when he is hungry. I think you are just spoiling him and he's knowing it. Reverse psychology works very well on 2 year old
I would cut down on the juice and milk. Both my boys went through the same thing. Also try watering down his juice or just giving water. A two-year olds stomach is about the size of his fist.
he may be full off of all the milk and juice he is drinking.I would go to the Dr.and have him checked out.
This is usual for a two year old, they go through several stages where they don't eat. As long as he is drinking he is ok. Still make him sit at the table though through each meal and offer him small portions. Explain to him that he needs to eat with everyone at the table during mealtime and he will sit while everyone eats. This will let him know that he can't get up and play etc.. during meal time. Offer him some healthy snacks several times during the day to incourage him. The more simple the better, sometimes meals can just seem too overwhelming for a two year old. If it continues and you really get concern call and get him into the doctor.
He will eat eventually. It's just a stage that kids go through. Give it time he will eat you out of house and home again soon.
I had a picky eater(non eater). All you can do is offer foods you know that they liked at one point. Dont make a big deal out of it ,
if he does not eat. They will eat when they are hungry and it is a phase. My daughter now is 11 yr old and will everything in sight.
Vitamins are a good thing to remember to give your little one.
