How much would be the fair charge to babysit 2 toddlers for a week while the parents go on vacation?
Answer:
It depends on who will be watching them, but I'm assuming you aren't going to have the local fourteen year old babysitting your toddlers for a week. Since you'll probably want to use an older, more professional sitter, you're going to end up paying quite a bit, definitely a three-figure number. The sitter will likely have his or her own rate, but if not, you're going to have to at the very least pay above minimum wage.
It depends on the children, too. Are they little angels that sleep through the night without problem? Then you can probably justify a lower nighttime rate. If they're up screaming every five minutes, however, you're probably going to have to end up paying the same rate for days and nights.
Honestly, I'd plan on paying at least $500 - $700, plus providing food, etc. for the entire week, possibly more, unless you can get a relative or friend to watch them, in which case you could probably get by paying a bit less. You could probably find someone who would do it for less, but I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable leaving two toddlers with a bargain-basement sitter. You'll want a professional, and you'll have to pay accordingly.
How young are the children? It can be emotionally destructive for infant/toddlers to experience that much separation from mommy. It's a really bad plan from the children's point of view; the parents should vacation with their children. It seems like the parents must have put these kids into day care young, to be so detached from the children's needs. What kind of parent even wants to be away from their young child that long, unless there is attachment damage already? Very very unhealthy behavior.
$200-$250 and they supply your food.
id charge them at least 150 dollars. 2 toddlers are hard work and very exhausting.
First, the parents should supply all food or give you at least $200 for food alone. Depending on the age of the children. Parents in my school give $20/hr for caring for their children. I would say about $80 per day.
i think it should be about 350-400 min if this person had a real job they'd make at least 5 hundred and this is a all day all nite cooking cleaning sorta thing toddlers can be a handful
