Yeast infection/diaper rash...?
Answer:
There is no possiblility of your daughter giving this little boy a yeast infection or a diaper rash! Dont let this other parent think you did something wrong or let them make you feel bad because of it! There are many different causes of diaper rash examples: a new food, too much juice causing the urine to be more acidic, food allergy, sitting in a wet diaper longer than normal, diahrea, teething, sensitive skin, viral infection, ect. My son always had a diaper rash b/c he had really sensitive skin! You are right about the childrens fecies being too acidic and causing diaper rash. My ped's dr told me that diaper rash is a form of yeast infection and that using a over the counter yeast infection cream like Monostat (clotrimozole) will clear up the rash...and it always did in a matter of a couple of days! Anytime I sensed a rash coming on I would use the monostat on his bottom and it was gone before it started! Just keep the area clean and dry and this will help with making it worse! AND dont let this other mother make it your fault for her kids diaper rash! If she has a problem with it she should talk it over with her dr! Good luck!
Boys cannot get yeast infection period. Diaper rash is not contagious, it is simply a form of chaffing from paper diapers. When my brother was a baby he used to have mild forms of diaper rash frequently, but we found a good cream to use and he's been rash free since.
Yes, boys can get yeast infections, but it's not a sexual thing. Yeast infections are common after anti biotics, or could have been spread to him if you changed your daughter's diaper and then changed his without washing your hands in between. A yeast infection is just an overgrowth of an organism that's normally found in the lining of the urethra (male & female), or in the mouth (but it's called thrush when it's a yeast infection in the mouth). She should take him to the pediatrician to get the same creams you did, it's usually pretty easy to fix. I hope she doesn't blame you, yeast infections are fairly common. I have 3 kids, and 2 of them (1 boy, 1 girl) got yeast infections almost every time they were on amoxicillin.
My son used to get them. The best thing for it is clotrimazole, it's a form of athletes foot cream and don't put it inside just around the rash. And no it cannot be passed on through saliva, but it could be something that they are both eating. My son got them because he was allergic to milk so when he would poop, that was the effect. It has nothing to do with sex! Of course check with the doctor before you put anything on your child. Hope this helps.
Its not technically a yeast infection. It is skin yeast. Antibotic cream works wanders for it. Yes a boy can in fact get it but that would be because he was gonna get it anyways. Its not contagious. My daughter got it off and on for a long time antibotic cream and gone with in a day or two usually. If you are using regular cream you will want to put cornstarch baby powder in top of the cream or medicated baby powder. Reg does very little alone for this type of rash.
guys can get yeast infections too, no doubt but whether or not it can't be dilivered through saliva. the only way would be if you were changing their diapers and didn't wash your hands or something, try using gloves.
