Any suggestions for food to help my son poo easier?

Hi I need some suggestions for different vegetables and meats to put into my sons food to help him poo better. He has real trouble with constipation and is on baby food so I can mix in different things with that.

Answer:
Oatmeal works wonders on my daughter. If that doesn't work, I buy the little bottles of prune juice from the baby section. Usually its prune-apple juice or berry-prune, any variety that will actually taste good to her, and I only start off with a half cup.
Raisins and lettuce.
fruit
Have you tried apple juice?
prunes, brown beans(mashed), oatmeal.in short, anything with a lot of fiber.
Stewed prunes work best and will probably be better tolerated since they are sweet.
my son had the same problem and the doctor said apple juice raisins and bread but that didn't work for my little man we had to give him milk of magnesia the doctor said 1/2 of tea spoon in the morning for a few weeks and he has pooped good ever sense but he had it really bad it was so bad that he cried every time and i ended up crying with him it took the doctor a while to see how bad it really was and about 3 of them if the raises and apple juice doesn't work talk to your family doctor i hope this helps
watermelon is a wonder fruit! Works every time!
Poop!

LOL
Prunes Prunes Prunes

We may not like them - but kids will eat what we won't look a baby food peas!

My son had the exact same problem and with every meal I gave him a few spoons of prunes and it really helped. Don't over due it you don't want the opposit problem - with loose stooles - it can get bad as well!

Ease into anything you might try with his diet.

Good Luck
lay off the crackers and cheese and no peanut butter
The most effective fruit I've tried is a ripe papaya. Mash it and add milk.
watch his dairy intake, these foods cause constipation and a lot of mucus build up in the chest and nasal area.
If he has a little problem with the #2, give him some prune juice mixed in with his oatmeal, dried appricots are a real good source of fiber to get the old bowels moving.
Go light on the meat, that is hard for a child to digest good. Corn is hard to digest.
Applesauce is good, peaches, whole apples are hard to digest, mush them up. Starches in breads, sugary cereals are hard to digest. Replace with more warm oatmeal type cereal mixed with some baby food fruits!
whenever my daughter had problems "pooing" her doc told us to use apple juice!
Try prunes or prune juice. try to stay away from cheese. If it gets too bad ask your doctor.
