Can your 2-3 year old tell the difference between colors?
Answer:
My daughter knew her colors when she was around 18 months. I watch children in my home, one I keep right now is almost 2 and she is beginning to say colors and she usually gets them right. Another is 16 months and doesn't know them at all. I think it depends on the child and how much time the parents spend working with the child one on one.
YES! She's known her colors since about 1 or so. She just turned 3.
both my two and three yearolds know all there colors. so yes they can.
My could do primary colors plus like pink and orange.
i take child development and most of the kids are 2,3,4 and they mosty can
yes.my daughter will be 2 in a week and shes known the colors for a while
My son knew 7-8 colors at 18 months. He couldn't talk yet at the time, but I would ask "where's blue?" and he would point to the blue square or whatever, and we would do that for the rest of the colors, among objects, numbers, letters, etc.
Yea, He's known Primary and Secondary colors since about 15 Months old.

Yes. Usually kids pick those up when they are 1 1/2-2 yrs. old.
My 16 month old son knows his primary colors. Hope this helps.
not yet
:(
Yes. However, she may not know what to call them. name and color id come later, depending on how much time teaching the word for the color comes.
Unless they are seriously colorblind, they should.
All 3 of my boys are, and they mix red/green shades.
Absolutely! If your cannot, I would get their eyes checked.
Yes.
My 3 year old son can. He knows all of his colors.. granted sometimes he get them confused. I think if you don't work with your child then they probably won't know them
Of course. I nanny for 3 year old triplets and they have known the basic colors for about a year and a half. In fact, they each have a favorite color.
Yes they can. My 3 year old cousion knows all of her colors
my son knows all the colors, and points them out on everything he see's.
My daughter is 18 months and she can decifer between colors. She can't say all the colors yet. But she knows what they are.
Yes, my daughter is 2 1/2, and she knows all her color names and can identify them when you point to them and ask what they are. Granted, I am a preschool teacher, who talks alot to her kids... the same child also speaks in 10-15 word sentences- which is abnormal for the age. She also attends preschool 5 mornings a week in a language-based program.
Yes but sometimes is confused about blue and green. That's quite normal, and apparently - I've heard - many boys in particular have this blue-green issue.
