My daughter will have her 5th B-day next month. What kinds of fun activities could I have the girls do?

Do you have any good suggestions?

And NO, they don't have "Pin the tail on the Donkey" here in the country where I live.

Answer:
Holding a party would be great for any kid.

I have been lucky enough to witness lots of children's parties back in my childhood days and the following have been traditional parlor games sure enough to make a children's party fun for all:

Try "Musical Chairs". First place a certain number of chairs for all the girls to sit on in a circle with all chairs facing outside of it. Play some music and let them go around the circle of chairs as the music plays. Per round, remove one chair from the circle. One the music stops, they'll have to race for a seat. The player with no seat is eliminated. Let this go on until two players and one chair is left. The winner is the one who gets the seat!

Also try charades. It's a no-biggie. Always works.

You can also try the traditional "Hot Tomatoes" kind of game. Let the players all gather round in a circle. There will be an object to be passed around as music is played. Once the music stops, whoever holds the "hot tomato" is out!

"Longest Voice" also works. Let the players form a line, single-file. Each will get a turn to say "Happy Birthday <name of your daughter>" and hold the last syllable as long as he/she can in one breath. The person with the longest time wins!

Another game would be "Bring Me". A host will say "Bring me <any object you wish the players to find>" and then the players must find that object and give it (it can also be a person, e.g. "Bring me the mom of the birthday celebrant!") to the host. The first to bring the said object is given a prize.

You can also do "Statue Dance"... ah, a no-brainer. Play some music and let the players dance. Once the music stops, nobody moves. Whoever moves is out!

You can invite a clown/magician to perform tricks for the audience. If you think the kids would hate a clown and a possibility of attacking a cloud is high, then just stick with the magician.

You can also have all the celebrant's best friends line up and give her a little "birthday message/wish".

Remember to give "loot bags" (party bags filled with candies and little trinkets) and/or souvenirs towards the end of the party/gathering. Kids love souvenirs to take home as a remembrance of a day of fun.

Happy birthday to your daughter!
Make ur daughter feel that none of the girls remembered the B-Day and give her a surprise by evening:)
you could have a pamper day for little girls. Get a friend of yours to help do their hair up nice - get some spongey rollers. Paint their nails, you can get glittery nail polish and stickers. If their parents let them you could let them have a bit of makeup on. That should use up a good hour or more!
you make friendship boxes,do fingernails, play dress-up and put your own pizzas together.if ya have your own yard, get quick drying cement and make your own personalized stepping stones.
how about pass the parcel, musical chairs, dancing competions, kids love anything where they havta be active and where theres a chance of winning a prize, im sure you'll be fine, just ask your daughter, kids love it when you get them involved.
Get your daughter involved in the planning of her party. I did that with my 5 year old who had her birthday in December. We decided to do one craft project, a pinata and a few group games.
However on the day of the party we ended up only doing the pinata and one of the games. The rest of the time the girls wanted to play with the toys in the playroom and all the balloons. But it was a lot of fun and more relaxing than if I had forced all the games and projects.
