What theme should I do for my son's 1st Birthday?

Answer:
i wouldnt they wont know whats going on its more for you than them. my son slept through his 1st birthday party
If I was you go by his favorite cartoon, for example elmo, thomas the train etc.
do what ever he's into right now, my nephew just had his birthday. and since my brother is in the army he is really into the army also. we did everything camophlage ( not quite sure on how to spell that) with little soldier hats and stuff. but since hes only going to be one.. does he watch any cartoons?
Hi there! Happy birthday to your son! Our daughter is turning one in February and we are doing ELMO everything! :)

Hope your day is special !

P.S. If I had a boy, I'd do Elmo, Thomas the Train or John Deere theme!
his favorite cartoon character or a nice color scheme with maybe blues or greens.
The Curious George stuff is cute. Or you could do something like a circus theme.
try www.birthdayexpress.com
it gives you a bunch of theme ideas for 1st birthdays and the option to buy in packages or atleast gives you the idea you can go to party city, or even walmart to get the stuff for the party itself, but remember he has to have is very own little cake!
My husband and I did a "Baby (Boy's) First Birthday" theme. All the stuff is available at Party City or through party supply websites. Cartoon themes are very cute, too, but they're one one once.
I also recommend "Birthday Express", I got my little boy the rubber ducky theme from there and they were great, it was so easy. The Rubber Ducky theme was so cute, he loves bathtime and he was the "lucky duck" for the day. Also Walmart has great cakes and your son will get his own cake free. Good luck and remember to have fun.
i went to first wishes, at birthday express for my daughters party. very cute, and convenient. lots of cool stuff that you can get personalized.
Does he has a favorite character? Something that everytime he sees it make him go crazy? Maybe a color. When I celebrated my son's birthday he used to like colors like yellow, bright blue and red, so I decided to use Sesame Street and he got crazy about Cookie Monster. Take him to the party store and let him see what you are watching. There's gonna be something that catches his attention more than other thing.
