How to put a timer on the computer for the kids?

Answer:
Although I agree with the last responder that the computer should be in a communal part of the house, I also believe that timers can be useful.

Apple has built many of these features into the Mac product line. If you are not using a Mac, you can buy software like NetNanny or Symantec Internet security that includes these types of utilities.

You may also be able to find a timer by doing a search on downloads.com.
Why would you need a timer? The computer should be in a "communal" place of the family (livingroom/familyroom) where their time and activities can be monitored as parents SHOULD do since it's their job to do so.

Get 2 egg timers. Give one to the kids at the computer and keep the 2nd one with you. Worked for us.

There are all kinds of high tech ways, but this is cheap and easy.

How about actually monitoring your kids on your own. You're just setting yourself up to be disappointed later in life when you realize that it is your responsibility to make decent adults out of your children, and somehow, the public school system didn't do it for you!! Can you say "Yes, your Honor"? (Because your kids will need to learn it!)
if u have a microwave there should be a timer push it and set ur time
take a cooking timer an d time them
