A couple of years ago, Cookie Monster started eating a bit healthier. It was done on purpose in response to the numbers of children who fall into the "obese" category. He still eats cookies by the pound, though!
Who cares? But if so, thats really funny. Television got smart and are promoting veggies instead of fatty foods now!

I think those kids are lying, I tried looking for that online and didnt find anything about it. Besides that show has been on forever and why would they all of a sudden decide to change him after so many years. You cant have cookie monster without his cookies or there would just be no cookie monster at all.
I heard that too!!!! i heard they were changing it because now kids think its ok to eat cookies cuz of cookie monster and someone copmplained so they had to change it so their kids would start eaiting more vegetable i hate that rule i LOVE cookie monster
i know he eats healthy know but i dont think they renamed him. I think its just dumb hes a cookie monster how dare they take away his cookies thats like taking away oscars garbage can.
No not true. He will always be cookie monster. I have 3 kids 18,15 and 2 and kids can have some wild imaginations sometimes
Last I heard, Cookie Monster was still eating cookies, but his new motto is " A Cookie is a Sometimes Food".
