Maybe standing up scares him. What is wrong with him sitting on a potty chair and peeing? He will learn to stand up and pee when he is older and more accurate. Does he even reach the commode at 3 yrs. old?

Well, I got mine to pee with other boys that stand up or with they're daddy's or a male figure that your nephew looks up too. Then she'll have to deal with him peeing all ove the place. My dad told me to through cheerios in the potty for him to aim at.
