Winter Birthday party?

Any ideas on where to have my son's birthday party in December? Not at my house, and no Chucke Cheese, they're too expensive for the number we're inviting.

Answer:
Hi,

I'm a mom of a 1 year old, who's B-day will be in late December of this year, my daughter will be turning 2 years old. I too don't really want the B-day party thrown at my house, because I am inviting a lot of guests, and there will be lots of toddlers/kids running around. Therefore, I recommend looking at a Recreation center near your home, or a community center, because I have one where I live and they have a huge room (just for parties) that you can rent for a day, there's also GYMBOREE, they offer B-day parties for little ones, I don't know the cost though, but you can look at www.gymboree.com. I hope that helps!
maybe you can rent a small hall.i have that same problem my daughters b-day is the 1st of jan. and we already had 2 b-days at chuckie cheese. i'm thinking about her b-day party already too i'm kinda leaning to the hall idea myself.
Try a bowling alley or if there is one in the area try laser tag.
How old is he going to be? How about your Local Mc Donald's? They have B-day cakes you can buy, and some of them are able to host the party in the restaurant.
You don't say how old your son is, how many kids you are inviting, or what area you live in. Anyways, is there a children's museum in your area? Or, what about a community center in your area? Sorry, I know that there aren't alot of options, my birthday is in January. Good luck!
Do they have a Kids Plex in your area? Its like a giant hamster trail for kids (like a gigantic version of the play sets at McDonald's), its awesome! And cheap! You can set up parties there for a bunch of kids and let them loose!! The one in my area also has a rock climbing section for the older kids.. and its sound proofed, so if the parents need to step out they can have peace and quiet...
Have a snow sledding party at an outdoors location that does not cost much to use. Or rent a conference room at a hotel but this is pretty expensive. My son will have a birthday in January. McDonald's maybe.
We did a bowling birthday party for my oldest daughters part when she turned 3 years old. We rented 2 lanes, got use of the dining/bar area (although we were seated away from the bar), it included bumpers for the toddlers (and adults!) and a birthday cake, ice cream, and soda. It cost me 95.00 I think the rate was changed to 125.00 where I live last I checked. Oh yeah shoes were included too. It was fun and cheap enough for me to afford on a single low income.
