Why do toddlers get flushed cheeks?
Answer:
They might be hot, over dressed, they maybe wind burnt, sun burned, they may have a fever, some kids just have red cheeks.
They get hot easily.
They're excited (increased bloodflow) or they're hot or feverish. Or they've been in the wind.
I found that my kids got dry red cheeks from me wiping their faces with baby wipes when they had food on them. I quit doing that and just used a wet washrag and the redness went away. Also you can rub a little vaseline on their cheeks to help with the dryness.
fever, activity, embarassment.
I was wondering the same thing with my daughter. Since the weather got cold it has been like this. Her hands also get red. I do dress her in warm pj's at night but it seems like no matter what I put on her before bed it gets like that. In the morning it is always gone.
